Final fundraiser 2020!

This year, we once again organized a fundraiser for school supplies for our charges from the Nuevo Amanecer organization in Guatemala. We managed to collect as much as PLN 1633. The school year in Guatemala begins with the calendar year, so at the beginning of the pre-Christmas period, we launched the payment option on the zrzutka.pl platform. The funds received came from our friends, families and clients of SempreArte.

Currently, 25 kids from the village of San Andres Itzapa come to the organization. All children come from Mayan families, who are unfortunately the poorest part of society in Guatemala. At the beginning of the school year, children in schools receive a list of subjects necessary to participate in classes. In the first week of January, we transferred the collected funds to Vicky and Glori, who are the daughters of the founder of the organization and permanent carers of children in the organization. The girls made purchases according to the list received from the children and they know what each family needs. Each child received a layette, which consisted of such items as: notebooks, pen, pencil, chalk, glue, paints, felt-tip pens. In addition, three of them also received backpacks from us: Chepe and Luis, whose financial situation is very bad, and Arlyn, a girl who is always extremely active and helpful. We wanted to make it up to her.

We also spent some of the funds on the purchase of things that will be used in the organization throughout the year: cut-outs, scissors, glues, tissue paper. We also bought hygiene products: soap, toilet and kitchen paper, dishwashing liquid.
